Happy Anniversary!

Anniversaries are something that I usually don't forget. My parent's wedding anniversary is December 28th... I moved to New York on August 26th... I joined Netflix on a Saturday in September. But for whatever reason, my one year anniversary as The Displaced Debutante blew by without notice. I was much too busy blessing hearts and getting sucked in to this new season of The Bachelor (stay tuned for a post about THAT) to remember that on January 12th, 2014 I sat down at my computer and started telling my story and sharing my perspective.

A year later I would have never dreamed to have reached as many people from as many different backgrounds as I have, nor would I have dreamed a career as a writer would ever be an option for this tried and true actress.... but here we are and I couldn't be happier or more grateful. There are lots of very exciting possibilities on the horizon and it's all thanks to you - my readers.

But enough of that mushy stuff... let's get down to brass tacks. Anniversaries are not so much about remembering days as they are about PRESENTS. I got a pair of gold Tiffany & Co. earrings for my 1 year anniversary with my ex-boyfriend and even though the relationship went to hell you better believe I kept those earrings. So... my gifts to you:

New Layout! I have transferred the blog over to WordPress in hopes of giving you all a simpler more user friendly experience. You can now follow The Displaced Debutante on any and all blog readers/feeds (ie: WordPress, Bloglovin, Blogger, etc.) and have access to my Facebook page and Instagram feeds directly from this page (see right). Pretty cool right?
Special Video Content! A few months ago, I was approached by CondeNast to develop some digital content for them based on my blogs. I have since received a different opportunity that is taking my development of the blog in a different direction, but the good news about that is I'm FINALLY able to share this featurette with you all. I so hope you enjoyed that.
