Stupid Cupid: Part 5

Today, friends, we have a very special edition of Stupid Cupid. What makes it special, you ask? Well in this case I can't help but feel like I'm a part of something much bigger. Like were I to answer his "off the wall" question that I would be adding something of value to the discussion. I can't help but feel like my opinions matter to this guy. Wow.

This is "random guy" from Sarasota, Florida and as you can see from his messages he has just joined OkCupid, I believe, in hopes of getting his question answered.

The Question: "If you were in a serious relationship with your boyfriend and after dating awhile he mentioned he has a fantasy of you with another guy would you be open to the thought or upset?"

Here's my theory, because that is WAY too specific a scenario to be of his imagination. This happened to him. He had a fantasy of his girlfriend with another guy and when he told her about it she got mad, and now he has taken to the internet, specifically OkCupid, to troll for girls who don't think this fantasy is strange as a way of validating himself.

Alright fella... it is absolutely your right to fantasize about whatever you want to fantasize about. Live your life. Make good choices. BUT - your girl, or any girl for that matter, in turn ABSOLUTELY has the right to think your fantasies are strange. Sorry bout it.

I don't think I'll be answering his question. Because while he "isn't trying to be weird just honest", that doesn't mean he's not being weird, albeit honest. You gotta court a girl a little before dropping the "would you be okay hooking up with another guy while I watched?" bomb! Ask me what my favorite color is, or perhaps if I have any pets... THEN we can talk about fantasies.

Sarcasm Saturday.

With Grace and Good Humor,

My name is Mary Lane Haskell and my two "claims to fame" are that I have Dolly Parton's fax number and that Reese Witherspoon once liked a post on my Instagram.  I am an actor, a writer, and a profound Chipotle enthusiast making my way in Los Angeles while trying to stay true to my family's southern roots, all with grace and a touch a good humor.  I'm so glad you're here!
