The Beygency

May 3, 2014

I went on an OkCupid date with a fella the other night who said, "You'll crucify me for saying this but I don't like Beyoncé. She has no natural talent." I wish I had known about this little video because instead of just staring at him, at a total loss for words (which is what I did because how anyone can say that woman has no natural talent is BEYOND me), I could have said, "I won't crucify you... BUT THE BEYGENCY WILL."

This video from last night's episode is absolutely hysterical... give it a watch and you'll see what I mean.  They've been NAILING IT over at Saturday Night Live recently.  I'm such a fan.

Also... "Crucify" is a really aggressive term to drop on a first date. It’s aggressive just in general, actually.  It should be avoided if at all possible.  This was also a date on which the guy brought up both breast cancer and 9/11 in the first 5 minutes.  No matter how hard you try there's just no coming back from that.  I'm calling this one a draw, I think.  I mean I consider myself pretty charming, but there's not enough Southern charm in the whole southeast to come back from 9/11 talk on a first date.  BLESS.
